構造線路線図 / Japanese tectonic lines network

日本列島の主要な構造線（糸魚川-静岡構造線、中央構造線など）を鉄道路線図のスタイルで表現した作品。「中央構造線」という名前がどうしても路線名に聞こえる——という着想から、地質学の情報を路線図のフォーマットに落とし込んだ。データは地質図Naviや論文をもとに作成。Twitterで1万いいねの反響があった。
Japan's major tectonic lines — such as the Itoigawa-Shizuoka Tectonic Line and the Median Tectonic Line — depicted in the style of a transit map. The idea came from the fact that "Median Tectonic Line" (中央構造線, Chūō Kōzōsen) sounds remarkably like the name of a railway line in Japanese. This inspired me to translate geological information into the visual language of a transit map. Data sourced from the Geological Survey of Japan's geological map (GSJ Navi) and academic papers. Received over 10,000 likes on Twitter.
