路線図は縦横と斜め45度の線で表現するのがスタンダードとされているが（ロンドンの地下鉄路線図が初）、縦横（90度）の線だけで東京の地下鉄路線図を表現できるか試みた作品。斜め線がない分、碁盤の目のような秩序が生まれ、意外と悪くない仕上がりになった。
Transit maps are conventionally drawn using horizontal, vertical, and 45-degree diagonal lines — a convention originating from the London Underground map. This piece experiments with drawing the Tokyo subway map using only horizontal and vertical (90-degree) lines, eliminating all diagonals. The absence of diagonal lines creates a grid-like order, and the result turned out surprisingly well.
